Euro 2004 Footy Jam!

Plans for this year's 7 a-side cup competition are well under way. The Cup has evolved from The Looney Left Cup which began back in 1997, and has been held at least once every year since, in various guises, The Mayday Cup, Clissold Cup etc. This year the competition will be held smack bang in the middle of summer to coincide with Euro 2004, in North London, on Sunday 13th June. (venue to be confirmed). As usual it will be hotly contested, although the main emphasis of the competition is always fun and friendship. As well as the 7 a-side competition, we'll have a kids match, picnic, and a lovely cup for the winners to take home. Teams confirmed so far include: Recreativo, Sons Of Recreativo, International Bastards, Bradbury Massive Internationale, Poodle Chaos, The Strollers, North South Divide, Dynamo Semtex, Urban 75 and Stockwell Diablos.

Superstar Endorses New Fashion Range

the launch of Recreativo's new clothing range. From the catwalks of Rome comes
the super stylish (and sexy with it!) new T-Shirt , that is definitely going to
get head's turning this Spring season! Designed for the terraces, pub, training
pitch or grimy sunday league dressing rooms, it is the must be seen in
T-shirt that displays the legendary name RECREATIVO FC. Hackney Marshes. London.
Here you can see Roma l'eroe di superstar Francesco Totti on a recent
trip to Hackney looking beautiful as ever strutting his stuff. (Yes, we agree he
has put on a bit round the waist!)

Recreativo V Poodle Chaos 4 - 1 18.4.04
A
combatable win for the the Red and Orange over the boys from Clapham in this end
of season friendly. Goals from Matt Jeary, Adam Bradbury and Hersh ensured
victory, and our unbeaten run against The Chaos stays intact. We're lining up an
away fixture against this lot for May. Also have a friendly against Urban 75
in the next month or so, and have been invited to Hamburg in the new season to
play against a team of St.Pauli fans. Midweek training starts in a few
weeks...... what happened to that summer break eh ?
Super Sunday Super League
The season is now finished, and unfortuenatly we finished
bottom. With Hackney Marshans winning their final two games, it is us that go
home with the wooden spoon. It's been a long hard slog, this
our first year in the league, tho' has been a great experience which we've all
mostly enjoyed. We now have a long break until next season, when we'll be raring
to go and aim to improve on this year's standing.
We're now back in Clissold park Sunday mornings for our regular mob football, and are looking forward to some relaxing games during the summer months. We always welcome new faces for a kickabout. Recreativo's midweek training sessions will start in the coming weeks, and details will be posted when confirmed. A big thanks go to all those who have turned out in the infamous red and orange this season. We look forward to doing it all again in a few months time. Viva Recreativo! Viva el' Futbol!
